Newcastle University's International Postgraduate Scholarships in the UK

Newcastle University is pleased to offer five Vice-Chancellor Global Scholarships (VCGS) to exceptional international applicants applying for a full-time Master's degree.

£4,000 tuition fee awards

Start date and duration

September 2020 for the full duration of degree programme  

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Vice-Chancellor’s Global Scholarships applicants must:

•Be classified for fee purposes as international
• Offer an eligible Master's program for the 2020/21 academic year at the University's Newcastle City Campus.
• Have or expect to receive the equivalent of a UK high-school degree or higher
Applicants of all nationalities (assessed as international for fee purposes) are eligible to apply for VCGS awards, except for those listed below.
As the university provides different schemes for these countries, applicants from the following countries are not eligible to apply for VCGS awards: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Thailand, Turkey, USA, Uganda, Venezuela, Vietnam.
A program will be unveiled in February 2020 for postgraduate Master's applicants from Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and Uganda.
Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application.
